How do you know when you’re in love?
“When I’m at my utmost happiest around the person, I’d suppose, and I usually find myself trying to be around them as often as possible without going too far… you could say that I am a little bit of a clingy lover. I hope that isn’t too much of a problem.” She chuckles softly.
She peeked into the man’s impressive white-walled lab, glancing about. She hadn’t spoken to the scientist for some time, and it was about time that she did.. considering the countless death threats she knows he’d gotten in the past.
“Verde?”
Locked away in his main office,…
Sighing out with relief, trotting down the hall to meet her friend with a smile. “I haven’t stopped in for a while, so I thought that I could visit if you could spare the time.”
Unlocks and opens the door with a simple snap of his fingers. Eyes travelling up to meet the woman, giving a low sigh as he rests an ankle on his knee and thigh area of the opposite leg. Hands folded in lap quite neatly.
“Fair enough. Though keep in mind that the next time you decide to ‘pop in’, give a bit of warning, make an appointment, and have a real reason for stopping by other than just to ‘check on me’. I am a grown man and require no baby-sitting of yours.”
She sighs softly, though her smile remains unphased.
“How upsetting that I need to make an appointment just to see an old friend. And if I refuse?”
Eyes give a quick flick over in the other’s direction. Not having made eye contact before, though now his gaze burns right into the woman.
“Then don’t visit.”
Tone cold, never really the type to soften or sugar-coat his speech. Body language remaining calm and cool as he gives a soft sigh.
She’s hardly affected, however. “You do not want a lunch, then? I know that you have not eaten yet.”

“It’s been far too long.” Luce smiles to the other. “And how have you been?”
